Kayaking Hot Spots at the Jersey Shore

Lately you see more and more cars with kayak racks on the top. Kayaks can range from 8 foot short kayaks to real long ones that are designed either for the ocean or whitewater. Here at the Jersey Shore we enjoy recreational kayaking on local lakes and salt water marshes. Some good ideas for that type of kayaking are:

Ocean Acres Lake - Put in at beach by golf course parking

Manahawkin Lake - Put in over by new gazebo

Dock Rd (at corner of KAYAK STORE and TIPS HARDWARE) - about 1/2 mile down on right by old marina there is a launch spot. You can then kayak all the canals or out to the bay
